There’s ‘Snow’ Such Thing as too Much Fun

NEWS

In Bonne Terre the fire department takes their duties a step further than the usual saving of lives, they also help people have fun in the snow. Yesterday they shut down traffic in the City Park so that families could come out and take advantage of the snowfall. A fire pit was made so that park-goers could warm up, and Fire Chief Matt Barton even sprayed the hill down with some water to create the perfect sled track. “It’s a pleasure to see everybody come out like that and enjoy themselves, laugh and have a good time,” Barton said. With a fire pit to keep warm by, Barton noted that several families were still out playing at dusk when he left, throwing snowballs, and taking sleigh rides down the hill.
