Local Game Creator Lands Job with Sony

NEWS

The success story of Michael Hicks gets better and better with each new development. Ever since his junior high years, this Jefferson County man has had a passion for video games, so much so that he decided to make his own. It was his creation of the game Pillar that has brought Hicks his latest achievement. A psychological puzzle game, Pillar was first available online on the PlayStation Network. This caught the interest of Sony, who made Hicks the offer of a lifetime, licensing him as a PlayStation Developer. Along with this dream job Hicks will proudly showcase his game at the Game Developers Conference next month. Pillar is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and PC.
