Edible Book Festival

NEWS

If you like food, books, and puns, then the Morris Library at SIU had just the event for you. The Edible Book Festival invited patrons to turn their favorite novel into a meal, things like Jurassic Pork, To Grill a Mockingbird, and ‘Ham’let were put on display at the library. The food was made from recipes completely inspired by book titles. Organizer Sarah Prindle said that the goal of the event was to let library-goers have some fun, taking a break from study and work. This was the library’s fifth year hosting the festival, and they’re already preparing for the next. Everyone is welcome to submit food to the festival, and it’s completely free.
