Ghost Tours in Saint Genevieve

NEWS

Some might say it’s a little early for ghost stories, but Brian Gray of Saint Genevieve is taking advantage of the warm weather to start giving Ghost Tours of the historic town. He started business at the beginning of this month, and will continue giving tours every weekend until Halloween. Gray says that these tours aren’t just about the paranormal, assuring that there is nothing ‘sinister’ about them, “That’s something that I wanted to bring to people,” he said. “I wanted them to be able to see that even in death or even though something bad may have happened, there can still be something amazing involved with that, that’s tied to that. And the stories — the stories are incredible. I love being a storyteller, and that’s what I like to do. So I always enjoy telling people, ‘This is what happened here — this is why this cemetery is famous’ or ‘This is what this stone means and this grave marker means.’” Gray was inspired by his visits to America’s haunted South to start his own tours. Gray’s tours are lantern-guided, and include stops at cemeteries, churches, the haunted Audubon’s hotel, and several more.

For more information, go to the Ghost Tours website, that is, if you’re not afraid.
