Holy Comics, Batman! Cape Comic Con's 10th Year Sees Huge Success

Cape Comic Con 2015The Osage Center was full of magic last weekend as a record number of superheros and fantasy characters filed in to overlook the wares of local peddlers, play games, and have a great time in the nerd-tastic environment of Cape Comic Con.

From Superman to fuzzy unicorns there was hardly a normal human in sight, making Cape Comic Con’s 10th anniversary their biggest year yet. In the end, it was the Bat-Family that took the first prize for best costume, Mom and Dad played Catwoman and Batman with a tiny Robin, Riddler, and Batgirl in tow. Aside from cosplay, one of the best parts of Comic Con is shopping. Each table was filled with peculiar items you wouldn’t find anywhere else, from dragons, to chain mail, to the classic comic books, it was hard to find something that didn’t make our geeky hearts flutter. Celebrities like Misty Brew and John Wesley Shipp graced the convention with their presence, and in the back video games, board games, or just games of the imagination were available for everyone to play, including tournaments with cash prizes. There was plenty of fun for adults and kids alike, and above all it gave everyone a chance to be their true, super, selves.
