Ste. Genevieve Marching Band Performs at Disney World

NEWS

Hi-ho! Hi-ho! It’s off to Disney World they go! The Ste. Genevieve High School marching band recently took a trip to Florida where they had the rare opportunity to perform in one of the Magic Kingdom’s famous parades. The Marching Dragons fit right in as they made their way around Cinderella’s castle in the Festival of Fantasy Parade. The trip was made possible by the Disney Performing Arts Program which also provided workshops and rehearsals. Not only did they perform in the parade but they learned the basics for making a movie soundtrack, learning to play music in accompaniment to the movie Tangled. The band also got plenty of free time to explore the parks and have fun.
