Jackson Water System Flush

NEWS

Starting June 1 the city of Jackson will be flushing the water system 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily until maintenance is complete. Residents may notice cloudy or discolored water during system flushing but this is not unsafe, simply run the faucet until water runs clear. (To avoid waste use the excess water to water plants and lawns.) The city does ask that residents avoid doing laundry during these hours as discolored water may harm some fabrics. If you live near any fire hydrants make sure the area around the hydrant is kept clear. There is no date for when the system flush will be complete. For more information on the program and flushing schedule, visit Jackson's city website, jacksonmo.org, or the fire department's website, jacksonfire.org.
