NEWS

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO. – In the spirit of recently winning the Great American Main Street Award, Old Town Cape is excited to announce the 28th Annual Charles L. Hutson Auction is set to be a celebration! The community is invited to join in the fun Saturday, September 12, at 6:30pm at Isle Casino Cape Girardeau, 777 N Main.
Both silent and live auctions offering unique items of interest, specialty goods and experiences donated by local businesses will offer something interesting to bid on for everyone. Bidders can expect a range of products and prices for fine jewelry, travel packages, home décor, personal care services and more to be in the lineup.
Aiding in the celebratory atmosphere will be live entertainment. The Jerry Ford Orchestra will help set the stage by lending the sweet sounds of their classic melodies throughout the evening. Following the live auction, Us Instead will keep the party going with hits from more recent decades.

As Old Town Cape’s primary fundraising event, this occurrence is vital to supporting their mission of downtown revitalization. All proceeds are applied toward promoting the area as a destination, toward keeping downtown beautiful, toward organizing events that bring visitors to our community, toward retaining the historical significance that is embedded in our streets and toward furthering economic development opportunities.
This event is made possible thanks to the sponsorship of several community entities. Isle Casino Cape Girardeau and The Bank of Missouri are the premier sponsors. Other sponsors include: Athena Property Group, Thomas Insurance Group and TNT Fitness.
