Over 100 trophies will be awarded in 37 classes ranging from original Camaros and Firebirds to Rat Rods, Street Machines, original Corvettes and more. In addition to the class trophies, special trophies will be awarded for Rodders’ Choice, Old Town Cape’s Choice, Best Paint, Best Interior and Best Engine. There will also be drawings and door prizes available to participants.

Being a part of the event is easy. Registration for participating vehicles is $15 and begins at 8am. All participating vehicles must be signed up by noon to be included in the 1pm judging. Trophies and other awards will be given out at 3 pm. There is no attendance charge for the general public, and all are welcome to come down and check out the beautiful vehicles.

‘This car show is the epitome of what Old Town Cape is all about,’ commented Marla Mills, Executive Director of Old Town Cape. ‘Just as we do our best to preserve the character and historical significance of the downtown community, The River City Rodders and all those who take part in the event are doing their best to preserve and keep alive this part of history for future generations to enjoy. If you love history or automobiles, you will not be disappointed with this event!’

To help get the weekend started, The Rodders’ will also be hosting the Cape Cruise In on Saturday, September 19th, from 4–8pm. This cruise in is a free event held at the car show’s old location in Capaha Park and will feature classic oldies tunes along with free BBQ and attendance prizes for registered participants.
