Lemonade stands are an American tradition, these handmade vendors full of refreshments with little 5¢ signs are icons of summer. The lemonade stand was always a symbol of entrepreneurship from small children, but over time they have become nostalgic ways of raising funds and helping neighbors. The Girl Scouts of Jackson are becoming part of this tradition by hosting an Alex’s Lemonade Stand. This foundation is a nation-wide reach that raises money for childhood cancer via old fashioned lemonade stands. Before the last of summer fades away refresh yourself and help a good cause.
The Lemonade Stand will be held at Farmer’s Insurance at 1166 Greenway Dr. in Jackson, MO. September 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
