The new playground at Capaha Park in Cape Girardeau is finally receiving a ribbon-cutting and will be open to the public. The last weeks of fall will be put to good use on fresh swings, climbing rocks, and a brand new pavilion. The new playground replaces the old wooden one which was torn down in 2011 due to age. The new playset offers kids a safe and fun way to enjoy the outdoors.
The public is invited to the ribbon-cutting Oct. 23 at 11 a.m. to celebrate the completion of phase 1 in a 6-phase plan to rejuvenate Capaha Park.
