NEWS

The city of Jackson has announced plans to open a new recreation center called Clark Sports and Recreation Complex. It will be located at East Deerwood Drive near the Jackson Civic Center. The expansion includes updates, additions, and renovations to the existing baseball stadium, as well as a concession stand, restroom facilities, additional parking, and stadium aesthetic improvements. The stadium will become part of the Jackson High School Baseball Program. 24 acres of property owned by the Clark family was purchased to make this expansion possible. Additional land will be used for park improvements and future projects. The Clark Sports and Recreation Complex is made possible through the efforts of The Jackson Area Baseball Association (JABA), the Southeast Missouri Medical Center, Inc., the Jackson R-2 School District, and the City of Jackson.
