Holiday Trash Options

NEWS

With excess trash from the holidays the city of Cape Girardeau is offering disposal and pick up options for extra trash and Christmas trees. Extra trash will be picked up between December 28 and January 8. Public works asks that extra trash bags be left next to the cart during this time.

Tree disposal will be available through the month of January. Live Christmas trees can be taken to Arena Park and dropped off next to the livestock area for free. Or, if you are unable to drop off trees yourself, Public Works will provide pick up for a $5 fee. Call Public Works at 573-339-6351 for questions.

Please remember to recycle! You can drop off recyclables at 2007 Southern Expressway, or leave them on the curve on your area’s recycling day.

Visit the Public Works website for more information.
