Jackson Railroad Sees Construction

NEWS

The Jackson railroad crossing will be receiving some much needed improvement with construction starting in April. Construction will take place on the railroad tracks at the crossroad of Jackson Blvd. and S. Hope St. on April 9 and 10. A detour will be provided, directing motorists, with Shawnee Blvd. and Main St. as bypass routes. Construction is expected to conclude Sunday evening, April 10, weather permitting.

Funding was provided by the Federal Highway Administration. Through the Missouri Department of Transportation’s Local Public Agency Program, MoDOT assisted in approving the design for the project and will continue to provide guidance during construction.

For more information regarding this project, please contact MoDOT Area Engineer Brian Okenfuss at (573) 225-3574.
