United Way to Host 29th Annual Golf Tournament

PRESS RELEASE

Golfers and duffers have an opportunity to give back to the community and have some fun at the 29th annual United Way of Southeast Missouri Golf Tournament on Friday, June 3, at Kimbeland Country Club in Jackson, MO.

The tournament will be a four-person scramble with a capacity of 36 teams that will be divided into two flights. Tournament-day registration and lunch begin at 11 a.m. with tee-off scheduled for 12 p.m.

“I would encourage anyone who is interested to go ahead and register because this is a very fun tournament. I’ve participated for over 20 years and haven’t ever met anyone who doesn’t enjoy it because it doesn’t get better than enjoying great company on a beautiful course while giving back to your community,” said John Thompson, president of The Bank of Missouri.

Registration is $100 per player prior to May 20 and increases to $125 after. The fee includes greens fees, a golf cart, lunch, and prizes. In addition, skins and mulligans are available for purchase at $20/team for skins and $5/player for mulligans. Prizes will be awarded during a ceremony following the tournament to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each flight. Additional prizes will be awarded for Closest to the Pin, Longest Putt, Drive Closest to the Line and Longest Drive – male and female.

Sponsorships also are being sought for the tournament at the following levels: Gold Corporate Sponsor ($2,000), Silver Corporate Sponsor ($1,000), Hole Sponsor ($350) and Golf Cart Sponsor ($250). Organizations sponsoring holes are encouraged to provide a quick, fun activity at the hole. More information about the tournament and what each sponsor level receives in recognition can be found at www.unitedwayofsemo.org/golf.
