Join us at the Bollinger County Museum of Natural History on Saturday April 26 for Mountain Man living history with Jim Long from 11am-2pm.
Mr. Long's presentation features flint lock rifles and a demonstration of flint and steel fire starting, plus other living history showing what a mountain man carried with him to survive the Rocky Mountains in the 1830s and 1840s. You'll see different styles and types of clothing, various powder horns, knives, food, bedrolls, and shelter.
The museum will be open extra hours for the Mississippi River Valley Scenic Drive weekend.
Museum hours on Saturday, April 26 will be 9am-5pm and Sunday, April 27 from noon-4:30pm.
Regular Admission will apply.
