Call For Artists: Regional Art Educator's Exhibit

PRESS RELEASE

During the month of June, the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri is excited to announce the Regional Art Educator’s Exhibit. The show will open on Friday, and will remain on display until June 27.

Art Educators from the Southeast Missouri region who create fine arts and crafts are invited to enter one work for the exhibition. The show will not be juried, but pieces are required to adhere to the guidelines dictated in a prospectus available at the Arts Council and on the Arts Council’s website. The show is free to enter for all art educators, from the elementary to collegiate-level, residing within the region.

Two-dimensional work must be wired for hanging, and 3-dimensional work must not exceed 36” in any direction. Artists must provide their own pedestal for 3-dimensional works. Jewelry must be in a case or a glass box.

Artists may deliver their work to the Arts Council gallery, located at 32 N. Main Street in Downtown Cape Girardeau during normal business hours of Tuesday – Saturday, from 10 am to 4 pm.

The Regional Art Educator’s Exhibit will open on June 6, with a reception at the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri from 5 pm to 9 pm. The exhibit will run through June 27. The reception and exhibit are free and open to the public.
