PRESS RELEASE

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO. – Old Town Cape will highlight eight commercial properties during their downtown

Each property will be open for tour and participants can begin at any of the properties. A representative will be present at each property to answer questions and provide more information.

The tour is organized to highlight properties available for lease or purchase in the downtown area and to encourage people to think of downtown as a place to do business. “There are so many opportunities in downtown. of the Old Town Cape Economic Restructuring committee.

The properties are located at 725 Broadway, 609 Broadway, 339 Broadway, 221 N. Fountain (formerly The Marquette Center), 26 N. Spanish, 36 North Main, 20 North Main and 19 North Main.

The property at 221 N. Fountain will serve as the reception area where participants can get additional information, talk about opportunities and resources and see the vision of downtown. Present at the reception area will be the Executive Director of Old Town Cape and representatives from the Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce, the City of Cape Girardeau and the sponsors. Other resource people that can answer questions regarding the rehabilitation of buildings and doing business in the downtown area will also be on hand.
