American Queen and Queen of the Mississippi Docking Date Changes

The Queen of the Mississippi is operated by American Cruise Lines. The riverboat was built in 2012 and has a capacity of 150 passengers. This is the Queen of the Mississippi’s third season on the Mississippi River.
The Queen of the Mississippi will be docking in Cape Girardeau on the following dates:
- Sunday, September 7th 11:30 p.m. – Monday, September 8th 12:30 p.m. - CANCELLED
- Tuesday, September 16th 8:30 p.m. – Wednesday, September 17th 1 p.m. - CANCELLED
- Tuesday, September 23rd 7 p.m. – Wednesday, September 24th 12 p.m. - CANCELLED
The American Queen will also return to Cape Girardeau during the month of July and is operated by the American Queen Steamboat Company. Constructed in 1995 and recently refurbished, this steamboat has a capacity of 436 passengers.
The American Queen will be docking in Cape Girardeau on the upcoming dates:
- Thursday, September 11th 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Monday, October 13th 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Passengers are given the option to tour a variety of attractions in Cape Girardeau while the riverboats are docked. Chuck Martin, Executive Director of the Cape Girardeau Convention and Visitors Bureau, says that “One of the sure signs that travel season is in full swing is when we have the opportunity to welcome passengers from the Queen of the Mississippi and the American Queen. Visiting with travelers from all over the world is exciting for the staff and volunteers at the Cape Girardeau Convention and Visitors Bureau.”
