Painting Demonstration By Ron L. Anderson

PRESS RELEASE

Ron L. Anderson was raised in Cape Girardeau from the 1950s to the 1970s and retains a fondness for region. This is evident in his oil paintings, many of which depict rural Southeast Missouri. Anderson has worked on the West Coast for much of his life, including as a professional freelance and commercial photographer for High Tech companies in the San Francisco Bay area for 30 years. He currently lives and paints in Oregon State.

Anderson describes the work of Heinie Hartwig, an artist from the Barbizon School of painting, as having a strong influence on his paintings, “His work rekindled in me a long forgotten dream; the desire of learning the techniques of the masters in the discipline of oil painting that would capture the appearance of natural light in its challenging qualities to suggest realism in my paintings.”

Ron will demonstrate how he begins his paintings and share tips on the techniques he uses in his work. Examples of his work and a full biography can be found on his websitewww.rlandersonpaintings.com.

Join other arts patrons and supporters in welcoming Ron L. Anderson on his visit back to Cape Girardeau for a free painting demonstration.
