Fall Full of Fun at Lazy L Safari

PRESS RELEASE

Goat & PumpkinIt’s going to be a Fall Full of Fun at the Lazy L Safari Park – Pumpkin Patch, Rope Maze, Kiddie Corral, Giant Tarantula, and Down on the Farm activities will be a part of this year’s Fall season. In addition to the usual Alligators to Zebras, Parakeet Jungle Exhibit, and all the other exotic animals at the zoo your family will be able to participate in the usual Fall seasonal festivities.

Be sure to visit the Lazy L Pumpkin Patch where you will be able to pick your own pumpkin to take home. See if you can find your way through the Rope Maze and try your hand at trick roping or roping the “dummy” steer at the Kiddie Corral. You can play horseshoes and ride the animal swings in the Kiddie Corral too! Get your picture taken with the zoo’s Giant Tarantula (don’t worry it’s just a large hay bale with legs). But, that’s not all the fun! Get Down on the Farm as you milk “Betsy” the cow, pick the chicken eggs at the Lazy L Chicken Coop, and help harvest the vegetables and flowers from the garden.

Zoo Director, Vicki Lantz, says “We wanted to offer traditional Fall fun along with your zoo visit this year. Most pumpkin patches add a petting zoo to their activities. We are the zoo that adds a pumpkin patch.” The Rope Maze will be permanent so that kids (and adults) can enjoy this all year long. The Down on the Farm area will also include educational information about agriculture as well.

The fun all starts Saturday, September 20th and runs for six weeks thru Sunday, November 2nd. The zoo will be open to the public on Friday, Saturday, & Sundays from 10 am to 6 pm. The Fall Full of Fun activities will be available any day with a reservation for School Field Trips, Group Tours, Birthday Parties, and Venue Rentals. Regular zoo admission includes all of the Fall Full of Fun activities except for pumpkin purchases and animal rides. Animal rides will be operating Saturday & Sundays from 12 noon to 4:00 pm for an additional fee of $5.00 per rider. Some weekends will also have face painting, kid’s craft table, kettle corn, etc. – check the zoo calendar on their website or Facebook Fan page for extra activities each week. The zoo will be hosting contests on their Facebook Fan page every Friday during Fall Full of Fun and one lucky winner each week will win a Family Four Pack of Passes to the zoo!
