International Education Week at Southeast

NEWS

Southeast Missouri State University hosts over 1000 international students from 55 different countries, and that diversity makes for an interesting mixture of culture and tradition. Southeast celebrates this diversity with an education week, November 17-21.

With the ever-growing population of international students the Officials with the Office of International Education and Services believe there is a need for an expansion of knowledge and interaction, and focuses on the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. During the week Southeast will host events and activities aim to facilitate cross-cultural understanding and prepare Americans for the interconnected world of today.

The events will have helpful seminars such as “Market your International Experiences in the Job Search” and the “Study Abroad Fair”. There will also be film screenings of Crossing Borders and Girl Rising. Towards the end of the week they will have an International Café and a Trivia Night.
