Jackson, MO, a small town with big ambitions, has just applied to become a Missouri Main Street Community. Main Street is an organization that helps American small towns preserve, create, and bring out a community’s full potential. “Through education, outreach, hands-on training, online resources, facilitating connections and conferences, we inspire and enable leaders across the country to build strong communities.” Main Street helps towns like Jackson preserve historic buildings, provide jobs, and basically rehabilitate wherever the need lies.
With funds, support, and recognition, Jackson hopes that becoming a Main Street Community will revitalize the town. Jackson is known for the parks, good schools, and small town comforts, and they want to use this opportunity to keep the town vibrant.
A GoFundMe page is available to help make this happen. The funds go towards Jackson's efforts to become a Missouri Main Street affiliate.
