Winners of Lego League Challenge Announced

Last week Southeast Missouri State University hosted the First Lego League ‘World Class’ Challenge for fourth to eighth graders, challenging them to build robots using Legos. This week the winning teams were announced.
Students came from all over the region, from St. Louis to Farmington, making up 21 teams in total. Teams presented their creations in several categories, each focusing on a different aspect of the competition. The Awards and their winners are listed below:
- Project Award:
Team 10417- Wireless Warriors from Immacolata in Brentwood, Missouri
Team 7556- SEMO Robotics from Williamsville, Missouri
- Robot Design Award:
Team 4216- Gadget Girls from the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri in Farmington, Missouri
Team 9270- Cyborgs from Immaculate Conception in Jackson, Missouri
- Robot Performance Award:
Team 2064- Bobcats1 from St. Vincent de Paul School in Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Team 1505- ArchiTECTS from Forsyth School in St. Louis, Missouri
- The Core Values Award:
Team 6558- M.U.L.E.S. from Poplar Bluff R-1 Schools in Poplar Bluff, Missouri
Team 3769- The Dream Team from Windsor Middle School in Imperial, Missouri
- The Champion’s Award:
Team 2867- Eaglebots from Immaculate Conception in Jackson, Missouri
Team 1505- ArchiTECTS from Forsyth School in St. Louis, Missouri
After the scores were tallied, the judges selected four teams to proceed to the next event, The Eastern Missouri FLL Championship in St. Louis, Missouri:
Team 1505- ArchiTECTS from Forsyth School in St. Louis, Missouri
Team 2867- Eaglebots from Immaculate Conception in Jackson, Missouri
Team 3371- Force Green from Wildwood Middle School in Wildwood, Missouri
Team 9270- Cyborgs from Immaculate Conception in Jackson, Missouri
These teams will compete on December 7, 2014 for the First Lego League Championship.
