New Year, New Future for Cottonwood

NEWS

The future of the Cottonwood Residential Treatment Center became uncertain after budget cuts recently threatened to close the facility, but now the Community Counseling Center - a private, charitable, not-for-profit behavioral health organization - has taken on the project of privatizing Cottonwood and restoring half of the funds needed to stay operational. A Treatment center for children, Cottonwood cares for 6 – 17 year-old patients with severe emotional and mental needs. Many protested its closure, for they not only provided much needed care, but also several jobs. Cottonwood will be reopening January 3, 2015.
