Valentine Cards for Hospice

NEWS

Valentine’s Day is all about spreading the love, and not just for your sweetheart. At the Presbyterian Hospice in Farmington they’re hoping to make all their patients feel special, and they’re asking the public to help. “We thought it would be nice for [hospice patients] to receive cards for Valentine’s Day,” said Marketing Director Kristin Brown. Sometimes, due to unfortunate circumstances, the patients are unable to receive much attention on Valentine’s Day from family, Brown hopes to change that by bringing the community together to make everyone feel special. Something as simple as a card can brighten their day. Cards can be store-bought or handmade, if you would like to help out and make someone’s Valentine’s Day mail a card to the Presbyterian Hospice, 412 Cayce St., Farmington, MO 63640 or dropped off at the facility. They also can be dropped off at KFMO Radio, 804 S. St. Joe Drive, in Park Hills. If a school or large group wishes to participate and has a large number of cards, the organization can call Brown and she will pick them up. For information call 573-756-7066.
