Polar Plunge Raises Money

Plungers got a bit of a break this year when they participated in the 2015 Polar Plunge to raise money for the Special Olympics. It was 46 degrees on Saturday when participants jumped into Lake Boutin at the Trail of Tears State Park. 186 people attended, some dressed in elaborate costumes, others donning only a pair of boxers. Superheroes, Disney characters, funny wigs, and kilts were just some of the things the in which swimmers dressed up, before getting soaking wet. Organizers happily reported reaching their goal of $57,000.
