Subdivision for Senior Citizens Coming to Jackson

Construction for a new subdivision in Jackson has been given the green light. City officials approved the annexation of 33 acres of land on Old Cape Road East near Klaus Park to become a neighborhood specifically for residents 55 years and older. "It will be an active-living community, where [senior residents] will be able to live among their peers," said Realtor Bobby Gray. For now they are planning a mixture of single-family homes and duplexes, but more information has been slow coming as officials are still addressing some engineering concerns. More advertisement for the project is expected when construction begins, though that has yet to be announced.
