Youth Help Shovel Snow

For most, a snow day is a surprise day-off for relaxing and having fun, but several youths in Marion took their extra free-time to help out around the neighborhood, shoveling snow out of driveways. The kids are members of Aldersgate United Methodist Church putting in some community service, but it was far from hard work, "Yeah, we've had tons of fun. We just goofed off and moved snow off of people's driveways," said Jacob Rice. In another part of town Michael Nowakowski was also lending a hand, walking through his neighborhood, and heeding the call of anyone who needed help. After shoveling driveways Nowakowski had some fun as well, helping local kids build snowmen, and go sledding. Both parties know the importance of helping a neighbor, and working as a community.
