Riverfront Expansion

The Cape Girardeau riverfront is in store for some changes. If you enjoy taking walks down by the river then you’ll be happy to hear that construction for a pedestrian bridge is being added over Sloan Creek. This 100-foot-long bridge will only take about 90 days to complete, with no trail closures. The bridge will expand the amount of walking and biking space, and provide an aesthetic marker to the trail. This project comes in pair with the 1,300-foot expansion to the south end of the trail, promising to make the Riverfront Park a must-go for outdoor lovers.
