Giant Egg Hunt Yields 50,000 Eggs

NEWS

The ball fields at the Park Hills Sports Complex might look more like a ball pit than an Easter egg hunt by the time the Harvest Christian Centre is done with it. 50,000 eggs have been collected (all of which will be candy-filled by the way) for the giant egg hunt on Saturday, and that might just be enough, as it’s one of the biggest community events the church hosts, with up to 5,000 people in attendance. More than 150 volunteers make this event possible, stuffing eggs for a month to prepare. Ages 0 to 11 can participate in the egg hunt, as well as enjoy face painting, bounce houses, and a visit from the Easter Bunny. There will also be prize giveaways, and much more. The hunt starts at 9:00 a.m. on April 4 at the sports complex located at East Main Street and Spruce Street.
