Bike to Work and School Day

NEWS

For those who love to bike, or anyone who want to try it out, May 15 is Bike to Work and School Day, and the Parks and Recreation Department is celebrating at the Osage Center with a free breakfast. All cyclists are welcomed to attend; there will be free t-shirts, raffles, and a chance to register your bike with the police department, as well as have it checked out by a bike doctor from CycleWerx. As an added bonus Major Harry Rediger will deliver a motivational speech to get everyone pumped for the day. If your workplace is full of bike-lovers bring them all to the breakfast, the facility that has the most employees at the breakfast will win a grand prize. Afterwards there will be a bike-off as everyone rides to work or school. And if you need a beverage to get you through your day Cup N Cork will be giving away free coffee and tea to cyclists. For more information please contact, Christine at 339-6604 or visit our site at:www.cityofcape.org/fitness. Bike to Work and School Day is May 15, with the Osage breakfast at 6:15 a.m.
