KRCU Adds New Music Programs

NEWS

KRCU 90.9FM is bringing two new music programs to their lineup. “Left of the Dial” premieres September 18. This segment will explore different themes, genres, and styles of underground and independent artists. It will air air Fridays from 9 to 11 p.m. and Saturdays from noon to 2 p.m.  “All Songs Considered” is the second new program, also starting September 18. In this segment hosts Bob Boilen and Robin Hilton will go through brand new releases that are worthy of mention. They will specifically look at music released below the radar, anything from Swedish Pop to Ambient. This will air Fridays at 8 p.m. Afterwards “Alt.Latino” will air, bringing the best in new alternative Latin music. These programs were created in response to a listener survey in which KRCU fans expressed the desire to discover new music. KRCU will also add jazz music programming overnights on Friday and Saturday nights with “Jazz Network”, and will expand the broadcast of WFMT’s “Beethoven Satellite Network” overnights Sunday through Thursday.
