SEMO Harley to Host Breast Cancer Poker Run

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., October 12, 2015 – The SEMO Harley Owners Group (HOG) is set to host their annual breast cancer poker run on Saturday, October 24, 2015.  The annual “Breast Poker Run Ever,” event is open to all participants, whether they have a motorcycle or automobile.  Registration for the Poker Run will take place at the event corporate sponsor, Auto Tire and Parts in Cape Girardeau, at 9 am.  First bike out at 10 am, last bike out at 11:30 am. 

The poker run will be stopping at the following establishments: East Perry Pub, The Bayou, Steele Crest Winery, Westside Pub, and ending at Lawless Harley-Davidson.  All participants will receive their poker card at registration to have signed at each stop.  At the final stop, Lawless Harley-Davidson in Scott City, the poker hand will be drawn.  There will also be a 50/50 raffle available at Lawless H-D.

According to the event organizer, Amanda Landgraf, “The Breast Poker Run Ever,” will be raising funds for the Pink Up Cape Campaign through Saint Francis Medical Center.  The cost to participate is $15/ bike and $20/ bike with passenger.”  She added, “We are really hoping to grow this event by opening it up to all motorized vehicles, not just motorcycles.  Everyone is welcome to participate and travel along the ride route with the bikes.”

This year the SEMO HOG Chapter is adding a new component to the event with a Cruise In to be held at Auto Tire and Parts in Cape Girardeau.  The display will be available from 12-3pm.

Landgraf also shared, “Following The Breast Poker Run Ever, the participants and friends of HOG are invited to attend the SEMO HOG Halloween Party, which will also be raising funds for Pink Up Cape.  The “Spooking Out Cancer” party will be held after the run on October 24 at the Cape Elks Lodge.  Doors will open at 7pm.  There will be a $5 Donation for Pink Up Cape at the door.  There will be a live DJ from 8pm-11pm.  A cash bar and food will be available.  The Spooking Out Cancer event will also feature raffles and prizes, along with a costume contest.  Costumes are optional.
