Support Troops with Halloween Candy Buy-Back

NEWS

One dental office in Cape Girardeau is looking to help cut back on some Halloween candy, and support the troops as well. Drs. Patrick & Janet Ruopp of Ruopp & Ruopp DDS are holding a Halloween Candy Buy Back where kids can bring in their leftover candy from trick or treating. The dentists will pay $1 per pound of candy, this candy is then shipped to troops overseas. Dr. Ruopp calls this a win-win, decreasing the sugar intake for kids, and giving troops a taste of home. The candy is shipped through Operation Gratitude, an organization that organizes and sends care packages to U.S. troops.

The public is invited to donate their extra Halloween candy on November 2 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. For more information call the Ruopp & Ruopp office at 573-334-8884. Learn more about Operation Gratitude on their website.
