Bells and Red Kettles for the Holidays

NEWS

Sleigh bells ring, are you listening? The Salvations Army’s Red Kettle Campaign begins today. Volunteers will soon be standing in front of popular shopping locations, filling the air with the familiar ringing of bells. Help fill those red kettles so that the Salvation Army can continue to assist the needy this holiday season.

As a kick-off to the red kettle campaign the Salvation Army is holding Rock the Red Kettle concert in Cape Girardeau. This is a free family event to get everyone in the spirit. Contemporary Christian band Living Stones will perform, as well as Southeast Missouri State University's steel drums, and the Kelly High School Drumline.

Rock the Red Kettle starts at 6 p.m. Nov. 19 at Centenary Methodist Church, 300 N. Ellis St.
