KRCU To Host Free Film Screening



Join KRCU, WSIU-TV, and the Cape Girardeau Public Library for a free Indie Lens Pop-Up screening and discussion of the PBS Independent Lens film "The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution." This film revisits the turbulent 1960s, when a revolutionary culture emerged with the Black Panther Party at the forefront. Filmmaker Stanley Nelson tells the vibrant story of a pivotal movement that feels timely all over again.

Discussion moderators include Lloyd Williams, Vice President, NAACP – Cape Girardeau; Carl Kinnison, Instructor, Criminal Justice & Sociology, SEMO and former Cape Girardeau Chief of Police; Dr. Hamner Hill, Chair, Political Science, Philosophy & Religion, SEMO; and Dr. Morris Jenkins, Dean, College of Health & Human Services, SEMO.
