Art Council Moves to New Building

The Cape Arts Council has announced their move to a new location. Construction is underway at 16 North Spanish Street, which offers the council more space for gallery showings, as well as private areas for workshops and forums. Officials say they hope this new location will help the council grow and offer more services in the art community. They are calling the new building a ‘blank canvas’ with the entire inside being gutted for a full remodel. They hope to have a soft opening in May, with the official, grand opening in September.  Patrons are invited to watch the building’s progress on the Art Council’s blog.
