Students Get First-Hand Look at Live Birds

Things got a little wild at the Carbondale Middle School, when the World Bird Sanctuary paid the students visit to educate and show off some of their amazing birds of pre3y. Students saw live animals, including owls, hawks, and an eagle. Many of the birds were once endangered, and the organization wants to spread education regarding the safety and habitats of the birds.

Melissa Moore, who works at the sanctuary said that the demonstration, "Gives them [students] a personal experience with a bird and help them connect to the environment and to the wild natural world." They want to create an interest and introduce the next generation to the world of birds.
