Success for The Holiday Home Tour

NEWS

Six houses opened their doors to 800 visitors last Saturday, sharing their holiday decorations for the Holiday Home Tour. The entire community was invited to tour the houses and help raise money for the Lutheran Family and Children's Services Foundation, who provide counseling, adoption services, child care, teens mentoring services and advocacy throughout Missouri. The tickets purchased for the event provide general funding for the Foundation all year long.

Patrons who took advantage of the tour wore their blue shoe covers, and explored the unique decorations each house had to offer. Rick Werner’s home, for example, is covered in ceramic Christmas characters, including a ceramic village around the Christmas tree. A shuttle transported everyone from house to house all throughout Cape Girardeau (with one exception in Jackson).

The tour helped the foundation reach their goal of $20,000, and gave people an opportunity to have a lot of fun as well.
