A New Queen (Cinnamon) Rolls into Town

The church-goers of St. Catherine of Alexandria ended 2014 on a very sweet note with their annual Old Fashioned Country Christmas. Reverend Rickey J. Valleroy led the proceedings with glee. At the heart of the celebration was the cinnamon roll contest, in which the talented bakers of Coffman County brought in homemade cinnamon rolls to raise money for the church. This year they beat 2013 with $8622 as generous parishioners indulged in the all-you-can eat cinnamon roll buffet, donating $1 to vote for their favorite. Over a dozen women entered their own special rolls into the contest, but it was Peggy Adams who won the honor of being crowned the Cinnamon Roll Queen of Coffman County.
