Southeast Missouri State University senior Heather Leslie of Bartlett, Tennessee, is taking the fall semester off to continue traveling across the nation, working on the Discovery Channel’s “Street Outlaws: Memphis” and “Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings.”

As the only adult day program in the greater Cape Girardeau area, Southeast Missouri State University’s Horizons Enrichment Center serves a need for developmentally disabled adults, their families and students in the southeast Missouri area.


Ninth Annual Fault Line Film Festival Showcases Regional Student Talent

Filmmaking students from Southeast Missouri State University, area high schools and other institutions from across the Midwest will present their films and showcase their creative talent at Southeast’s annual Fault Line Film Festival in November.


First Friday Press Release

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO-- Friday, November 2, from 5 to 9 p.m., the Southeast Missouri Arts Council will host an opening reception for photographer Kyle DeWitt’s Out West exhibition. The show will be on display until December 1 and will feature DeWitt’s photographs of his travels in Western United States.


Gasser Named Alumni Relations Director at Southeast

George Gasser

George Gasser, assistant director of admissions for recruitment at Southeast Missouri State University, has been named director of Alumni Relations at Southeast.

Gasser will begin his new duties Nov. 26. He was selected after a national search and will replace Jay Wolz who recently retired.


River Campus Honored with City’s Beautification Award

The River Campus at Southeast Missouri State University has been honored with the City of Cape Girardeau’s “Keep Cape Beautiful, Property of the Month” award for October.


‘Our Town’ comes to Southeast’s River Campus Oct. 31-Nov. 4

Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus presents “Our Town” as a part of the 2018-2019 Rhodes 101 Stops and Commerce Bank Jeanine Larson Dobbins Conservatory of Theatre and Dance Series at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 31-Nov. 3 and 2 p.m. Nov. 3 and 4 in the Wendy Kurka Rust Flexible Theatre.


31st Annual Holiday Home Tour Scheduled for Saturday, December 1st


CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO, October 11, 2018 – Two local non-profit agencies have joined forces to bring the local community a long standing holiday tradition. Lutheran Family and Children's Services (LFCS) and the Safe House for Women will host the 31st Annual Holiday Home Tour on Saturday, December 1 from 9 AM to 4 PM.


National Pan-Hellenic Council Plaza Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Oct. 13 at Southeast

An official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) Plaza at Southeast Missouri State University is planned for 11 a.m. Oct. 13 as part of Southeast’s Homecoming festivities.
