Kow Pasture Klassic: A New Kind of Golf

The Kow Pasture Klassic doesn’t exactly bring a picture of golf to mind, nor should it, as officials are calling it the most ‘unique game of golf you’ll ever play’ and inviting everyone to come learn how; with the change in rules it shouldn’t be hard. Golf tees have been replaced with beer cans, and these golf balls are easy to hit . . . because they’re tennis balls. You don’t even need to use golf clubs! Want to reenact Happy Gilmore? Bring a hockey stick. Tennis rackets, pool sticks, anything you can think of. If this sounds like pure silliness . . . it is, but it’s also for a good cause. This odd game will benefit the young and old with proceeds going to the Missouri Veteran’s Home, and the Kenny Rogers Children’s Center.
The cost to play is $100 per team of four, register in advance and you’ll receive a Kow Pasture Klassic cookie up, and a ticket for free beverages and burgers. To register or get more information call Rick or Heather Lawson at Schindler's Tavern at (573) 545-3709, or Mitch Miller at Kohlfeld Distributing at 243-3931. The Kow Pasture Klassic takes place April 25 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.behind Schindler's Tavern and St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg, Missouri.
