Even if you don’t participate in Lent, who needs an excuse to party? We’ve had the Masquerade party, now it’s time for the Fat Tuesday Pub Crawl for drinking, a brass band, and a puppy parade! Join us for fun and merriment.
Everyone is invited to join the Mardi Gras parade where a New Orleans-style Brass Band will lead the crawl in song all through Downtown Cape. Quench your thirst at venues like The Library, Rude Dog Pub, The Bar, and so many others. If you have an organization, or a crazy group of friends, form your own Krewe. It’s not just people that will have all the fun, if you’ve got a canine who likes to party, dress them up for the Krewe of Mutts Pet Parade. It’s only $5 for registration, and proceeds go to support the Humane Society, as well as provide a special treat for your four-legged friend. We encourage dress-up for all people as well, but if you didn’t have time to get your Mardi Gras swag we’ll be giving out beads and masks.
Did we mention prizes? When you join in the crawl, you get a participation card, simply turn it in to one of the bartenders at the venues, and be entered to win one of many great prizes, including a New Orelans Getaway!
No purchase is necessary to participate in the crawl, but if you buy a crawl package you will receive a Cape Mardi Gras 2015 T-shirt, two free drink tickets, a Cape Mardi Gras Hurricane Glass and an additional entry into the prize drawings.
It all starts on Februrary 24! If you get a crawl package pick it up any time between 4:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Kellers in the Isle Casino, then head over to Cup ‘N Cork where the parade will be starting at 5:30 p.m. If you’ve got a dog, meet-up at Bel-Air Grill across the street. From there, just follow the band!
To buy a crawl package, see the parade map, see which venues are participating, check out the prizes, or any other information you might need, head over to the Fat Tuesday Pub Crawl website, or you can make contact on the Facebook page.
