Easter is everywhere this weekend! There are several egg hunts and other Easter events - both for the kiddos and for the adults!
Saturday boasts several egg hunts scheduled across the area. The Osage Center in Cape will have a hunt for ages 2-7. The hunt is split up into 3 age groups with the first beginning at 9am. There are lots of candy and prize filled eggs and additional prizes for the little ones to win! Papas Fruit of the Vine in Farmington will have their annual "Hoppin' Good Time" egg hunt for both the young ones as well as the adults. The kiddos can enjoy the Easter festivities from 1-5pm and the adult party starts at 6pm.
In addition to the Easter egg hunts, there will also be many special Easter church services. Bootheel Harley-Davidson will host a Blessing of the Bikes and Easter service, rain or shine. Bikers or not are al invited to attend. Bald Knob Cross in Alto Pass, IL, a huge 111 foot landmark, will host their annual Easter sunrise service with music and refreshments. Other sunrise services will be held at Bollinger Mill, Harmony Congregational Methodist Church, and Fairview General Baptist Church in Advance just to name a few.
For those that would like to take the day off cooking, Ray's Plaza Conference Center in Cape will be hosting an Easter Brunch Buffet, complete with a meal, drinks, sides, and dessert. The buffet will feature kettle beef, chicken and dumplings, bacon and eggs, and chef carved turkey and ham among other options. You can find the full menu and pricing here.
Perhaps you have out of town guests for the holiday, or maybe you would just like to spend some family time. Whatever the case, don't forget to take these and the other events on our calendars into consideration when making your Easter plans!
