Anyone with children probably knows about Orange Monkey, the play place in West Park Mall full of bouncy houses, slides, dodgeball - basically a kid’s paradise. It’s a great way to play off all that extra energy, but the new owner Charles Ressler is adding an art aspect to the crazy bounce world.
The Orange Monkey is putting the ‘art’ in party with a paint party this Wednesday. They are inviting kids to help paint hot air balloons on provided canvas, a perfect keepsake or gift for the family.
Ressler says he felt it was important to add this artistic variety to the Orange Monkey, “Paint parties are really catching on across the country. Being a father I think it is a great way for kids to unleash their creative genius on a canvas to create their own masterpiece. Pairing Orange Monkey's fun environment seemed like a perfect fit. It was an easy choice to fuse these two activities together.”
Ressler adds that they do more than provide a place for kids to let loose energy, stating that Orange Monkey strives to be a leader in community outreach and provide fun for families of every economic background, “We actively support our local schools, churches, and charities. I personally never want to hear that a child couldn't afford to come play at my facility which is why we offer a free community appreciation day twice a year.”
Kids ages five and up are welcomed, and all supplies will be provided, as well as a snack, and one hour of play time, all included in the cost. Call 573-334-7070 to make reservations and ask about upcoming events, or follow them on Facebook.
