Sometimes, when it sounds like your favorite country station has turned into a pop music station instead, it takes a local band to get back to the grass roots of country music. The John D. Hale Band is putting on a huge music concert called the John D. Hale Band Barn Party that’ll bring you back to the days of dirt roads, hay in your hair, and the classic sounds of country.
Nine bands will take the stage for the Barn Party. With performers like American Aquarium, and Jamie Lin Wilson the Barn Party isn’t just bringing out the local favorites, but national ones as well. For those who are really looking to get back to the roots of country music, as well as country living, the setting will provide the ultimate country music atmosphere. It is a barn party after all. Taking place at the 5-H club in Jackson the venue also offers registration-free camping, a corn-hole tournament, and of course a nice barn floor to stomp your feet and stir up some dust.
Also gracing the stage will be Jesse Harris, Smooth Roose Unit, Cole Porter, Matt Stell. Jason Eady and Adam Hood will be stopping by as part of their Southern Brother’s tour, plus Evan Webb and the R.R. Ramblers. VIP tickets are still available, these include free drinks, a meet and greet with the bands, and front row seats. There are also camping weekend-passes, or single day passes.
The concert pays tribute to the sound and lifestyle of rural America, reflecting the John D. Hale Band’s energetic and fun music style. This denim-clad, dusty-boots branch of American culture is reflected in the music, and all are welcomed to celebrate it in traditional blue-collar fashion: by bringing down the barn roof.
The concert takes place August 21 with an overnight into the 22. Music starts at 4:00 p.m. The venue is located at 2325 County Road 618 in Jackson, Missouri. Click here for tickets and details.
