If you’re looking for a party to attend this Halloween consider Big Al’s Halloween Dance Benefit. Not only is it a good, spooky time but the proceeds go to charity. Don’t let the holiday go to waste, put on a mask and have some fun.
Before the kids have their night of tricks and treats, treat yourself with a fun Halloween bash. Alan Bisher is hosting his very first
Halloween party this year and everyone is invited. A club owner during the 1990s, Bisher wanted to tap into his talent of party hosting to give people a fun night of dancing and entertainment, and help a charity as well.
The proceeds from the party go to victims of Alzheimer's and Autism. Bisher is related to families who have suffered from both afflictions, and wanted the party to be a way to give back, “I hosted a reunion not too long ago and twelve hundred people showed up. With such a big number I saw that we could make a difference and donate a substantial amount.”
Bisher is hoping for an equally big turnout for his Halloween party. Entertainment includes The Matrix Sound System with DJ Mike Fredrick. There will be a cash bar and food will be available for purchase, the menu includes items like hamburgers and pizza. The baseball game will be projected on the big screen for sports fans. Costumes are not required, but everyone is invited to dress up.
Bisher expects a large turnout and hopes to make the party an annual event that will support a new charity each year, “I want to get everyone together for a night of fun, dress up, good causes, and laughs.”
The Halloween Dance Benefit will be held at The Venue in Cape Girardeau, Friday, October 30 from 7:00 p.m. to midnight. Tickets are $7 and can be purchased the night of the event at The Venue, or in advance at Horizon Screenprinting, Advance Pest Control, or Motorsports Unlimited. Call Alan Bisher at 573-334-2727 or 573-450-4343, or visit the Facebook page for more information.
Sponsors for the event will also be hosting giveaways throughout the night. These sponsors include: River Eagle, Kohlfeld Distributing, Bluff City Beer Company, Major Brands, River Radio 93.9 the River, Q99 99.3, and K103 102.9.
