With the start of the new year many are looking for ways to be more healthy - not an easy task at the grocery store passing isles of junk food. Luckily there’s Natural Health of Cape Girardeau, they’re the one-stop grocery store for locally-grown, organic food and produce.
Becky Brown is one of the owners of Natural Health which she opened over 17 years ago with her husband Mike, “We were tired of going to St. Louis for healthy food, twenty years ago there was no one in town doing what we do.” Taking matters into their own hands, Natural Health now provides everything needed for a healthier lifestyle. Natural Health sells organic produce, locally raised meat and dairy, tea, cooking supplies, and supplements.
“We do what no one else does,” Becky said, “You don’t have to search to find healthy products, and our staff is very knowledgeable, they can give people recipes and substitutions, and help them make healthy choices.”
Becky is adamant that shopping Natural Health isn’t just for those on a diet, “I don’t like diets, they’re short term. We help people take small steps over time, it’s a lifestyle change.” Natural Health offers many natural remedies to help with conditions involving allergies, physical deficiencies, and even mental health.
To see what products they offer, get recipes, and support local suppliers visit the Natural Health website, or stop by the store at 135 S. Broadview St. They are open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday, and closed on Sunday.
