Burrito-Ville Gives Back to the Community

Courtesy of Justin DentonCape Girardeau’s favorite local American-Mexican restaurant is giving back to the community with a special new program called #GiveBackToCape.

Owner Justin Denton spoke about the importance of #GiveBackToCape. As a resident, business-owner, and graduate living in Southeast Missouri Justin wanted to help the community that has helped him. Once a month Burrito-Ville with host a #GiveBackToCape event in which 10% of sales will go to a local non-profit organization. “While we’ve donated to local nonprofits before, we wanted to create an official, monthly program to help sow the seeds of development in our community,” Justin said, “Giving back feels good, and giving back locally just makes sense.”

Justin says that part of the benefit of working with small businesses is that they don’t have to pay a royalty, all the donated money stays local, “More importantly [#GiveBackToCape] will raise awareness about the exceptional local nonprofits serving our community. We hope to raise awareness about them while raising money with the help of our great customers.”

Justin hopes #GiveBackToCape will grow and spread to other local businesses. Right now they are accepting local nonprofits to support each month. They also plan to host fundraisers, “ I don’t want to give too much away, but one may include puppies and kittens, and another runway models.”

Burrito-Ville’s first #GiveBackToCape will be held April 9 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Proceeds go to SEMO’s Criminal Justice Association. Non-profit inquiries should be sent to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for consideration.
